Nate asked me if I had seen this yet. I had marked it for a chance to watch it later. These things make some of the most solid cases for a Halo universe movie. Not necessarily the story in the video games, as important as Master Chief is to the universe, but it demonstrates the full myriad of possibilities when you have a whole universe and an interplanetary war to play with.

The moment when the trooper is looking up at the Elite and instead of pissing himself reaches over to his gun to put some bullets in regardless of whether or not he will survive made me want to sign up.
I think the most impressive thing they do in the whole thing is removing any actual speech allowing a very visceral connection to the character while enforcing the idea of the recon troops as being more stealthy. Or maybe they were going for stoic and I just overlapped what I interpreted from the silenced machine gun and its implications for gameplay.



In this one they call your character the "quiet one" but there is also a mention of the use of garbage trucks.
